Equine Assisted Therapy provides clients with a detour from conventional therapy based models. The foundation of our business is a 7 session Horse Wisdom course. Offering a structured journey across topics grounded in the 3 foundational pillars of mental health, emotional wellbeing and social wellbeing, your feet will be firming on the ground with your safety front and centre. Suitable for individuals of any age and corporate team building days, people lovingly describe their experiences of our horses:

  • they have no expectations and therefore don’t judge

  • because of their size, I have to be very mindful being in their presence

  • they take you as you are.

Located on 10 acres of bush-like sanctuary bursting with trees and birdlife in Oakford, Stablemindz is just 25 minutes south east of the CBD, the close knit Stablemindz team live each day present in each other’s company. Visionary founder and owner Liz Dos Santos’ love of horse melded with her mental health career sparking the successful, participant led business you see today. In the saddle are her two favourite horses, Bijou and Pepito. Each has their unique character and temperament (Liz too) as they collectively, and individually, work alongside clients who may experience complex psychosocial disabilities. Sound complex? Maybe… if you think life enhancing self-realisations are heavy work. But for Liz and the team, it’s one of the many ways they live their mantra: the answers you seek are somewhere within.
